High barrier technology
HBT is a water-resistant treatment which is fully recyclable and does not alter a paper’s shade, weight or finish. Anti-scratch, antifingerprint, anti-grease treatments
Applying scratch-resistant technology to a paper avoids adding a protective plastic wrap and lamination. Similarly, an anti-fingerprint treatment, such as that on Imitlin, works well on products that require resistance to abrasion or tearing. On the other hand, the grease treatment is particularly useful for all products which will be in close contact with any oily component, both in the food and cosmetic sectors. Further treatments can be applied against mould or to resist water, for example wine labels that are placed in ice buckets.
