A packaging delicately balancing on a model’s head introduces Pulp 24: designed by Italian graphic designer Giulia Garbin, it’s the package of skincare line The Seated Queen, a female-owned company.
In an in-depth analysis of skincare products and high-end perfumes, we note how more and more brands in the beauty segment focus on the minimalist style of the packaging: some examples are offered of the use of certain papers such as Old Mill Bianco or Materica, through which creates a sophisticated and elegant aesthetic, to underline the premium quality of the products. We talk about serigraphy with the Swiss Lorenz Boegli, considered the wizard of this discipline, who reveals his extraordinary approach, from which works of particular value arise, constantly requested by the creative directors of the most important brands worldwide. Another article deals with the lamination and plasticization processes with a view to recyclability: Chiara Medioli Fedrigoni shows examples of sustainable solutions, such as the Imitlin line, which make it possible to obtain results in line with the environment care. The printed paper maintains its charm unchanged, as noted by the editor Mark Sinclair, who underlines the moment of great vivacity and evolution that independent printed magazines are experiencing, with new launches following one another. Finally, an interesting report of the sessions of the Top Award jury is offered, which analyzed the works that had applied for the competition, presenting some awarded works.
